The truth about following your inspired intuition is yet another story, another example of what can happen for you when you listen to what's already going on inside of your mind, inside of your gut, and it usually doesn't follow the pattern that's gotten you to this point in your corporate journey, almost always, whether it is what I went through or the conversations that I consistently have,

this is something that I'm starting to recognize, listen to your inspired intuition, right? Because, if I think about this, is many years back, right? This is almost a decade and a half ago, at least from the time we're recording this like this is in in 2008 there was the the global financial crisis was happening all around us, and life was beginning to change for me. I was looking to change the status of my life, and

would been living overseas already for a number of different years, and I had this amazing conversation with at this point, the person who was really kind of helped me to realize that there's another life out there without just being in corporate 100% right? I had a very positive 26 year corporate career, and at the same time in 2001 sitting in an office in Barcelona, Spain, having a business meeting, I recognized that there were other ways that I could not only enjoy the corporate time, but also have much more of the ability to control the outcomes of my life by doing it directly. And so having been inspired by this new idea, I was yearning to do something different, because things weren't working in this in the stock market, my financial security, it was had been taken away from me, and I had no idea why it was happening. And I wanted to start to create a lot of these successful outcomes myself. And that's and the reason that I'm saying this, because it's the truth about following your inspired action. I didn't know why. I couldn't put my finger on it. It was just something was telling me this negative experience had happened in the stock market. I had no control, and I had this desire to figure out how I could start to put more of the control and have the outcomes of my life actually in my control. And so as I started recognizing in the beginning, was like, Yeah, I just want to get out here and make more money. Because I thought it was about making money. And maybe for you, it's it's making more money, or it's about buying a bigger house or something like that. Who knows, but that's what it was for me. But the reality was, deep down inside, I just wanted to be able to prove that I could say that I wanted to do something and actually be able to do it, so that I could have much more control,

control over the outcomes of the life and not depend on someone else. And so as I realized that, yes, I could have stayed in in the corporate career and continue to go down that path, but I recognize that that path and what I was doing outside of that because I didn't have enough knowledge of what I was doing in terms of being able to add financial security, I was really at

I was I was waiting to find out what would happen, but based on someone else's

decisions and things like that. And so I realized that, you know what, one of the best ways for me to start to understand and listen to this inspired intuition was to actually listen to it start to take action. And so the way that that manifested itself, for me was through, initially, through investing, and maybe for you, it's starting an online business, or maybe it's it's to have a brick and mortar business, or to start a consultancy, something that could be the thing that is driving that inspiration for me. It was the business, as I mentioned to you before, and so from there, it was really about, how can I take that inspired desire to go out and create a business outside of the corporate life that I had been living for just over two decades? And it was a matter of then taking getting together and saying, Okay, listen, I need to build a plan. And so I've shared it on a number of occasions. But what it came down to was me sitting down to say, Okay, after a very, very challenging moment of missing my son's third birthday party, I came back and recognize that, hey, listen, I need to put a plan together. And so I put this plan together. And this plan, at the time, I thought was, oh my gosh, this is such an ambitious plan. In that plan to be able to create an income figure that I've mentioned before, and also to be able to manage a certain number of doors, initially, I thought it.

Properties, but I realized that this plan had to have enough specificity so that it would get me to move to action and also allow me to then take the ideas that I had and be able to operationalize them very much in the same way that I'd done in my corporate life. And so as I was building this plan, and as I looked to acquire those 10 specific properties that I, that I put down back in 2012

the idea was then to go out and start to chase that dream. Well, the reality was very quickly, because the plan was just it wasn't actually put pencil to paper and actually been able to operationalize it right away? Well, I had to stumble and fall a little bit right early successes out of the door, financially successful, but not really having the systems in place, and then at the same time, wanting to be able to overachieve in the role at the at the job, and also perform at home. There were so many different things that were going on and without having that crystal clear plan and thought process and ability to execute right away. There was some stumbling that happened along the way, right?

this inspired intuition told me that I needed to go out and it was time for me to do something. Well, I initially got started on my own, as I mentioned and I've mentioned in the past, and got to a point where, very fortunately, this five year plan that I built out was able to be realized within 18 months.

But that wasn't the thing, right? The real growth

came from me recognizing that this inspired action, this inspired into tuition, led me to take action, and that helped me to realize that I have the ability to create just like you have the ability to create a new idea, a new team, whatever the case may be,

in doing that, because you put together a very clear plan. And so as I began to seek out more and more advice, realizing that I could create this, this new business, these new opportunities, most importantly, I recognize that not only could I leverage the skills that I had during my corporate life, but I could also bring those outside of corporate to make the life outside of the nine to nine much more effective as well.

Now the reason I'm sharing this with you is that this came from just an inspired intuition out of a business meeting that happened at a random time.

Many times you can find that you feel like you're waiting for this like big bolt of lightning that comes out of the sky, or there's going to be this unbelievable moment. But if you just listen to your gut, you recognize that a lot of the intuition that you have when it's inspired, it's going to lead you to action. And if you feel like you don't really know what to do, well, look for someone or or individuals who have been where you want to go, because that's going to help you to be able to ask the questions inform decisions that you're going to make most moving forward, in the same way that that I did and people that I consistently speak to are going through. So like I say, in these very in this brief episode, just like on the other brief episodes, I wanted to just very quickly talk to you about the truth about being able to follow your inspired action. Don't feel like you can't do it because it's quote, unquote, outside of the box. It's not within what you consistently do at your corporate role. It's this type of inspired intuition that will lead you to great things. So
